COMMISSIONING SERVICE

A commissioning service was held on June 1st for Katrina Mann. Katrina was commissioned into the Missions Service Corps of the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. Lee Kidd, Director of Missions for the Wise Baptist Association and Darrell Fletcher, Kingdom Advance Field Strategist for Southwest Virginia Region, participated in the service. Dr John Upton, Executive Director of the Virginia Baptist Association , delivered the message. Bobby Rose, chairman of the deacons, led in laying of on the hands. Glenda Collins, WMU director for the church and Wise Baptist Association, presented a gift and certificate to Katrina. Sid Renfro, Katrina's Aunt, presented a Bible on behalf of the family.
